The Hartford Chronicle

The Hartford Chronicle is a student-produced newspaper out of Hartford Union High School in Hartford, WI.  The newspaper is a class offered through the school, not an extracurricular club.  However, many of our hard-working reporters and editors spend time outside of class to conduct important, story-building interviews and actually write their articles.

The Hartford Chronicle has been an award-winning paper in the state of Wisconsin. The paper received red-ribbon honors at the 2015 and 2016 NEWSPA (Northeastern Wisconsin State Press Association) Conference, as well as blue-ribbon in 2017, and received blue-ribbon honors in the Kettle Moraine Press Association.

The staff creates a 16-page newspaper, 8 times during a school year.  All aspects of the paper are created by the staff including: conducting the interviews, writing the articles, designing and laying out the pages, and being representatives for our various advertisers.

The Hartford Chronicle

The Hartford Chronicle is published seven times per school year by The Hartford Chronicle staff members of Hartford Union High School. It is available free to all students and staff.
