As the cold front comes in many people of the Hartford community get prepared for the winter time, this including the Hartford annual Christmas Parade despite the Coronavirus pandemic.
Annually the Hartford community comes together to celebrate the Christmas parade supporting local businesses and clubs around town.
Due to the pandemic it was questioned whether the Christmas parade would be held this year. However, by having regulations at the parade and masks as well as social distancing is highly encouraged. “We will be posting COVID warning/disclaimers and wearing masks at the parade,” Wisth said.
As this is exciting news to be able to have the parade, parade committee member Wisth said, “While the holidays will be very different this year due to COVID, I am glad the Hartford Christmas Parade is able to go on and start the holiday season as a community.”
With the parade still being held there were also precautions the parade members had to take. “Members of the parade committee have been actively monitoring the status of COVID,” Wisth said.
A community member that went to the parade said “This year because of COVID, I noticed that a lot of the floats were very spaced out which is very nice to see that they took their precautions, “community member Delaney Tisdale said.
Another community member that went to the Christmas parade was pleased with this year's parade. “I love seeing all of the cute dogs and also the kids being excited for Christmas,” Andrea Berka said.
