Hot chocolate bombs are the perfect way to warm up with a good good drink this winter. The ingredients needed to make the perfect hot chocolate bombs are:
- Melting chocolate
- Powder hot chocolate mix
- Mini marshmallows
- A sphere mold
To make the hot chocolate bombs, first the chocolate needs to be melted. There is no measurement to how much chocolate to use, there just needs to be enough to cover the inside of the mold. Use a spoon or brush to paint the melted chocolate in the inside of the sphere mold. Be sure not to put too much chocolate into the mold as it needs to be a hollow ball to put the mix in. Put the molds in the freezer and wait for the chocolate to firm up.
Once the chocolate is hardened, pop the half-spheres out of the mold. Then, start filling them with powder hot chocolate mix and mini marshmallows or any other addition. The hot chocolate mix and marshmallows should fill one of the half spheres.
To connect to two halves, heat up the edge of the empty half. To do this, place one of the halves on a warm skillet and let it melt a bit. Then, place it on top of the other half to assemble the ball. Extra melted chocolate can be added around the edge to ensure the ball stays in one piece.
Once this chocolate is hardened and the hot chocolate bomb is assembled, decorate it with chocolate drizzle, sprinkles, or any kind of candy to garnish the hot chocolate bomb.
To use the hot chocolate bomb, warm up some milk and simply drop it in. The chocolate will melt and the contents on the inside will spill out, mixing with your milk and making a delicious cup of hot chocolate.
