Worman is Hopeful for the Season Ahead

Senior swimmer Quinn Worman has been swimming for ten years, four of those years being with the Hartford/Slinger swim team. His dedication to the sport is what makes him stand out from his fellow teammates.

Worman says that his experience with being on the team has been great, and that he has formed great bonds with his teammates over the years. Former teammate Adam Marx said Worman is a very dedicated swimmer.

“He’s been swimming for a long time and has stayed committed,” Marx said. “He’s hardworking and comes to every practice.”

Head coach McGyver Zepezauer said Worman is a determined swimmer who cares about where he is at by the end of the season.

“He sets goals consistently for where he wants to reach and he usually achieves those by the end of the season.” Zepezauer said.

Worman believes this season is already a lot better than in the past. Last season, Worman and the relay team went to state after a season of hard work. Doing that again is one of Worman’s goals for this season as well as making it for himself.

“My personal goal is to go to state for at least one of my individual events, and to help get another relay to state,” Worman said. “My goals for the team is to help improve the depth of our team and help the younger swimmers improve, so that they are at a better spot next season as we will be losing three of our best teammates.”

His coach and teammates believe that Worman more than deserves the title of Athlete of the Month.

“This is his fourth season, he’s swam in high school every year and as of right now he still has perfect attendance.” Zepezauer said. “Over the four years he has not missed a single mandatory practice out of all the seasons that he’s been with the Hartford/Slinger team.”
